Background
The client is a leading provider of digital health services, delivering remote care platforms to NHS and private sector clients across the UK. As the organisation scaled rapidly, the volume and complexity of change initiatives increased. However, without a centralised portfolio view or consistent delivery practices, it became difficult to prioritise resources, track progress, or ensure alignment with strategic goals. The result was growing delivery risk, limited visibility for executives, and duplicated effort across teams.
Solution
The client needed a step change in how change was governed and delivered. We worked closely with senior leaders to define the role, remit, and value of a centralised EPMO function. This included mapping current delivery activity, identifying pain points, and co-creating a target state vision. We established core portfolio management disciplines – including demand management, governance structures, reporting standards, and planning cycles – while embedding a pragmatic operating model that reflected the organisation’s agile ways of working. To ensure sustainability, we supported the recruitment and onboarding of key EPMO roles and provided coaching to delivery leads across the business.
